Orthopedic PT for Teens and Young Adults
Dr. Stephanie's approach to working with teens and young adults:
Pain
Outside of an injury, there can be a few common orthopedic causes of pain in the pre-teen and teen population. Physical therapy can help evaluate and treat these before they interfere with the fun of being a kid.
Young Athletes
Injury can limit a young athlete’s involvement in recreation and sports and often can be prevented. Physical therapy is a great tool for prevention or if injury is to happen, recovery.

Injury Prevention
As soon as that tightness turns to hurt, come into MMPT and we will get it evaluated and provide treatment with corrective exercises to remedy the pain. Young patients heal quickly as long as we catch it early.
Return to Sport
In the event that hurt turns to prolonged injury or there is a non-contact or contact injury, we can address the proper course of treatment and how to return to sport. As a youth athlete herself, Dr. Stephanie understands the fun and belonging that comes with participation in organized sports. Dr. Stephanie will work to evaluate movement mechanics and readiness for return to sport to help prevent further or future injury as part of a comprehensive physical therapy treatment plan.
